25 Random Things About Me

This is something that I got off of facebook. I finally succumbed to pressure after being tagged like 9 times. It's hard for me to come up with stuff, but here goes...

1. I love to sing in the car at the top of my lungs (Karen, Tanya and Sheryl could all testify to that)

2. We miscarried our first baby on June 24, 2004 and I still think about him/her all the time.

3. I don't like to cook

4. I don't love baking, but it's better than cooking

5. I cannot stand a dirty house. I love to clean, but...

6. my house is always messy (that's what happens when you have kids...at least that's my excuse)

7. I've struggled with depression pretty much my whole life

8. I'm so glad I have Christ. Otherwise, I would've never made it this far in life. He's my rock!

9. I'm so blessed to be married to Randy. God definitely knew why we needed to be together. We are opposites, but that's what makes it so great.

10. Randy was the first guy I kissed

11. That first kiss happened on the night we got engaged

12. Randy proposed on the beach after singing me a song he wrote

13. I love almost all kinds of music. I like anything from opera to weird off-beat hippy stuff.

14. My children mean the world to me. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. They bring me more joy than I could ever have imagined.

15. Next to Randy, my mom is my best friend.

16. I had a cat named T.R. (Teddy Roosevelt) and he was the best cat ever. I miss him!

17. I also had a cat named Annabelle. I dressed her up in doll clothes (Tanya, remember that?)

18. I used to write poetry (a lot), but haven't written anything since the poem I wrote in memory of our baby, 4 1/2 years ago.

19. Sometimes I can't believe what great friends I have. I love them to pieces.

20. I'm a little OCD (some might say a lot OCD). I cannot stand when there are suds in the sink after washing my hands. I will sit and rinse the sink until they are gone, even if I'm in a big hurry.

21. I'm semi-famous for my sweet tea (I need to credit Brian Miller's mom though. She gave me the recipe and then I tweaked it a bit.)

22. I would love to have 4 kids. I'd love for one of those kids to be a girl that's adopted from India. I've wanted to adopt from India ever since I did missions there.

23. I had severe postpartum depression after Kaelin was born.

24. I'm obsessed with bargain shopping. My favorite store is CVS. It's amazing what you can get for free or make money on in that store.

25. I once had 58 packages of diaper/pull-ups that I only paid between $1.00-$2.50 each. Don't believe me? See photos below. (Long story, but Kmart had a clearance and I went crazy) I'm still using some of those diapers for Reece and that's after giving about 20 packages away.

Ok, now you all probably think I'm a weirdo, but I consider my self "thrify." :)

The diaper thing is hilarious! I can't blame you - I'd do the same thing if I ever came across a deal like that! That is awesome!

I don't think you're weird I'm jealous. Really I remember all those diapers in your closet when I was at your house last and I was totally jealous of the great deal you got. That's awesome!

I'm so sorry you've suffered from postpartum depression...I did too just a little after Jack was born. I didn't know it at the time. But it was horrid.

I can't believe #19 either. Wow, glad I can help you out with that. :) LOL.

I love that you rinse the suds down the drain. I do things like that. And I'd love to know what else you do to your tea. I learned alot about you. Thank you for sharing.
