This is a late Mother's Day post, but I've had a lot on my mind this week, so I forgot to post about it.
Mother's day was extra special for me. I have 2 children here on earth to be thankful for this year. Being a mother is challenging and I feel like I fail at times, but it's the most rewarding and fulfilling thing I've ever done.
Randy let me sleep in on Sunday morning. (9:00 AM) It was so wonderful!!! Kaelin brought me a card while I was waking up. He actually made the card too. (We have a tradition of making cards now. It started when we were too broke to justify spending $5 on a nice card, plus so much love and thought goes into it, when you make it yourself.) Randy wrote a beautiful message inside the card. He wrote some of the most encouraging words I've heard/read since becoming a mom. What a wonderful husband I have! The Lord sure knew exactly what I needed in a husband and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He is a constant reminder of the love that Christ has for me. He loves me unconditionally, even when I don't deserve it.
We went to church, then to Red Lobster to eat. We don't go out to eat very often with the kids because it's so challenging with them, but they did great and we had a lovely time. We all took naps in the afternoon, then enjoyed the evening with some of our best friends.
What a terrific day!!
