Update On Chad and Jenny

We got an email from Sheldon and Ellen this morning. Here is what she wrote and forwarded...

Dear Family,
this email came in this morning---it gives us HOPE---but the fact that Chad was not teaching at the time, and their "habit" of going out to the villages during those "off hours of teaching time" has a way of nagging at that "hope".
There is a team of young guys from Chengdu trying to reach them traveling by jeep and then trekking in on foot---they left early yesterday morning---we have no word back from them yet.
thank you so much for your love, your support and your caring!
love you too,
Ellen

Below are 2 pictures that I just pulled off of the internet of Wenchuan after the earthquake. Chad and Jenny lived in the complex that I have circled in the big picture. The online site is http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-05/14/content_8167806.htm that I got the pics from. I would say the chances of them being ok are getting a lot, lot better.

The first picture is the main area of the school compound and in the second picture you can see the dirt from the landslides and the dirt that is on the road.

The white in the first picture on the ball field is where the students and or others are waiting it out away from the buildings.

The 2nd and 3rd picture are the same the 3rd is just blown up. The quality is very bad but you can get an idea of it.

Again, WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM CHAD AND JENNY YET AT ALL. So until we do we will continue to keep you up to date and posted on what is being done.
